Frequently asked questions

Whether you require a charging solution, inventory management, or content deployment – the M3 Platform has your fleet of devices covered.

What advantages do you offer over a traditional MDM/EMM model?

A traditional MDM/EMM requires human intervention to complete any content synchronization or app/OS update, they are also limited to the type of content managed. With both a hardware and software component, the M3 Platform allows full control of the hardware and complete automation of content synchronization. The Platform is also equipped to handle complex, large data structures and offers management of the hardware itself; ie. locking the device in place while synching content ensuring the process is uninterrupted.

What is the scalability of your solution and where do these need to be installed?

The M3 Platform is highly scalable and is not limited by the number of devices deployed. Its distributed architecture supports both small-scale deployments (as few as 10–20 devices) and large enterprise rollouts consisting of thousands of devices across multiple locations. The platform is modular, with a base configuration supporting 10 tablets or 6–8 laptops, allowing capacity to be expanded incrementally as needs grow.

Where do the kiosks need to be installed?

Installations are flexible and can be deployed in hangars, maintenance areas, or office environments, with multiple form factors and packaging options available to suit site-specific operational requirements.

Can the kiosk be integrated with softwares like “Active directory”

Yes, the M3 Platform integrates with Active Directory and is designed to work with most enterprise systems through standard APIs and authentication methods. A built-in user and card management system is also available to enable rapid deployment where external integrations are not required.

What are the limitations of devices that the kiosk can support?

Device compatibility is determined by the physical dimensions of the kiosk slot. The platform supports tablets up to 25 mm in width by 250 mm in height, and laptops up to 50 mm in width and 250 mm in height. These dimensions accommodate all common tablets, including larger models such as the iPad Pro, as well as laptops with screen sizes up to 15 inches.

How long does it take for all devices within a kiosk to be updated with new tech pubs?

The time required to synchronize new technical publications across all devices within a kiosk depends on both the number of devices and the size of the content being deployed. Updates may range from 1–5 hours. Regardless of update duration, the M3 Platform enforces complete synchronicity by preventing any device from being checked out until all required updates are successfully applied. Devices remain physically locked during the process, ensuring full control and guaranteeing that only fully updated, compliant devices are released.

Do you offer after sales support?

Yes. We have a global support network with resources in place to perform both remote and onsite support within the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia. We are fully geared to address the aggressive SLA (Service Level Agreement) the aviation industry requires.
